Eid Fitr: Alpha Radio donates to orphans in Pankrono

Management of Alpha Radio, a Kumasi-based radio station, has presented Sallah gifts to hundreds of Orphans and widows in and around Pankrono, a Kumasi suburb.

The move was to assist the needy children celebrate this year’s eid fitr without feeling dejected.

Each of the 200 orphans were presented with a bag of rice, cooking oil, live foul and some cash to aid them enjoy the Eid Fitr celebration which was observed by Muslims across the globe.

The management of the radio station explained that, they targeted the orphans because most of them are not able to participate fully in the celebration of the festival due to poverty.

Mohammed Ridwan, Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Radio, said this is the second time the radio station is organizing such an exercise through the assistance of other organizations and listeners of the station.

He assured of the station’s continuous support to these children annually because every Muslim deserves to beam with smiles during this festival.

The DCE for Kwabre East, Idissah Adams, commended the station’s gesture to constantly assist the less privileged in the society, and urged other benevolent individuals and organizations to emulate.
