Director of the the Ghana School of Law, Maxwell Opoku Agyemang, has cautioned politicians to stop politicising the success of the law students.

He noted that credit should be given to the students for passing the exams because they have worked for it.

One thousand and forty-five out of a total of 2,765 candidates who wrote the 2020 Law School Entrance examinations passed this year’s exams.

Mr Opoku Agyemang told Alfred Ocansey on the Sunrise morning show on 3FM Wednesday, October 7 that situation where some politicians are trying to take credit for this development is worrying.

“I hate when certain things are done and statements are made by politicians.

“I do not want a situation where people are trying to in-tune to the students that maybe they are not good but because of politics that is why they have passed.

“These students have toiled to pass the examination, give them the credit and stop politicising this, it is not good.

“I prepared the bill, that is the Council for Professional Legal Education Bill which is to recognize faculties and a certificate program for LLB applicants to help reduce stress for the entrance examination but what was the response?

“Politicians when they get the opportunity, they speak differently and when they are somewhere, they speak differently,” he added.
