Mamfe Girls' book a place in another world championship

Mamfe Methodist Girls’ Senior High School in the Eastern Region has book a place in yet   another world championship after winning the 2019 national high school entrepreneurship competition in Accra.

It is the third consecutive time students from the Mamfe Methodist Girls’ SHS have won the national high school entrepreneurship competition. With over 80 entrepreneurship teams from various basic and second-cycle institutions across the country, the three-day business and tech oriented contest saw eight finalists battle it out for the grand prize. All eight finalists had five minutes to impress the judges with their awesome business ideas cantering the sustainable development goals. Methodist Girls’ High School stood tall within the final hours; producing paper bags out of plantain stems projects won them the trophy. Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof Kwasi Opoku Amankwa, applauded organizers and students for a good work done. As winners of the competition, the school’s team will represent Ghana at the Students in Advancement Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) World Cup in San Francisco, United States from August 8 to 12.
