The National Executive Council (NEC) of Adisadel College Old Boys’ Association has called for the immediate re-instatement of interdicted headmaster William Kusi-Yeboah, saying the decision by the Ghana Education Service (GES) are affecting the school and it was done in bad faith. Last year, GES interdicted William Kusi-Yeboah “pending the conclusion of investigations into alleged acts of violations of procedures of the Ghana Education Service”. No clarifications have yet been given by the GES for the action against Mr Kusi-Yeboah, except for a circular saying that he is facing investigations. Speaking to Onua FM’s Central Region correspondent Kwame Kakarba, the President of NEC, Prof. Kojo Yankah, said they want Mr Kusi-Yeboah to be reinstated before a decision on the speech-and-prize giving day. He spoke after an emergency meeting held at the school’s premises at Cape Coast. The meeting was between NEC and the school’s board. According to Prof Yankah, all efforts to get GES to give official reasons for the interdiction has yielded no results. “We [therefore] found it necessary to now go up and petition the President of the Republic of Ghana for the reinstatement of Mr William Kusi-Yeboah.” He pointed out that 80 per cent of teachers and students are not happy that there is no substantive headmaster for Adisadel College.
