13 arrested at Oda for attempting to write WASSCE for candidates

A total of 13 people, mostly university students, have been arrested by the Police in Oda in the Eastern Region for impersonating and attempting to write examination for some students in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Police say the 13 were contracted from across the country, to write a paper in the WASSCE examination for some students of Placid International School at Oda. Their cover was blown before the examination could start Tuesday, April 17. They were accordingly arrested by the Police who have since cautioned and detained them for investigations. “We will arraign those arrested in court,” Eastern Regional Public Relations officer Ebenezer Tetteh told 3news.com Wednesday. He said the Police “don’t know those who contracted them [the arrested” but assured that “When those who contracted them are picked the laws will dealt with them too”.
