An Accra High Court has thrown out contempt suit filed by Judge Paul Derry against Bola Ray, Crusading Guide and three others over the judicial corruption video.

According to the court, presided over by Justice Torkonoo, the decision by the complainant, Paul Derry to withdraw the injunction case he was seeking to prevent Anas and Tiger Eye PI from showing the alleged video nullifies the contempt charges brought against Bola Ray and the other accused persons.

The others Judge Derry sought to sue included Tiger Eye PI, through its Chief Executive Officer, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, as the 1st respondent, the Acting Editor-In-Chief of The New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Samuel Frempong and Ernest Addo, Deputy Editor-In-Chief of the same paper.

According to the suit the above named persons “caused to be published on various media platforms, transcripts of the audio visual recordings he has unlawfully procured in support of his bribery allegations against him.”

In the suit, Justice Dery also alleged that the Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide and his deputy, Bola Ray, Sulemana Braimah of Media Foundation for West Africa had placed on their Facebook pages that there will be a public screening of the said audio visual recordings at the Accra International Conference Centre on the 22nd and 23rd of September, 2015.
