MD for BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng[/caption] The Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng, has instructed his lawyers to serve Sammy Gyamfi of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with a writ over comments he made on Adom TV. On Thursday, April 19, Mr Gyamfi, who is a member of NDC’s Communication Team, on Adom TV’s Badwam accused Mr Obeng Boateng of stealing from BOST at the blind side of Special Prosecutor Martin Alamisi Amidu. He, therefore, asked Mr Amidu to look the side of BOST if he wants to fight corruption. But Mr Obeng Boateng did not take kindly to the comments and wrote to the Manager of Adom TV on Monday, April 30 to “retract and render an apology to our client on three (3) consecutive episodes of Badwam on Adom TV from 9th to 18th May 2018”. The letter warned that failure will force Mr Obeng Boateng to join Multimedia Group to any legal action the BOST MD may take “to clear his name from the said libelous or defamatory comments”. Multimedia Group has complied with the host of Badwam, Omanhene Kwabena Asante duly apologizing. 3news.com gathers that Sammy Gyamfi was not given any chance to retract his comments because of his seeming constant “attacks” on the MD of BOST. The amount involved in the defamation suit is not yet known but he is expected to be served “soon”, a source said. Meanwhile, Mr Obeng Boateng’s defamation case with the Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah, has been adjourned to Friday, June 1.
