BOST boss booted out

MD of BOST Alfred Obeng Boateng has been accused of corruption by civil society groups including COPEC[/caption] The Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng, has been relieved of his post. This was contained in a letter signed by Secretary to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Nana Asante Bediatuo. In the stead of Mr Obeng Boateng has been appointed George Mensah Okley. Mr Obeng Boateng is a legal practitioner with specialisation in oil and gas. Until his appointment in January, 2017 by President AKufo-Addo, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Approachers Group of Companies and has over 20 years industry experience. He studied at the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom where he graduated with LLB (Laws) and went to study for his Master’s Degree in the same university. He was awarded LLM in International Commercial Law with Oil and Gas specialisation. He came under fire from civil society organisations including the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), whose Executive Secretary, Duncan Amoah, is embroiled in a legal tussle with the sacked MD.
