The District Chief Executive for Biakoye in the Volta Region, Nana Louis Akata, is reported dead.
The DCE died Sunday Morning May 24, at the Margaret Marquart Hospital at Kpando.
He had been on admission at the facility since Friday treating an ailment.
According to reports, the DCE has been unwell for a while now.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Gomoa East Assembly in the Central Region, Isaac Kingsley Ehun-Armah, died in March after battling a stroke.
The DCE had resigned a fortnight on health grounds before his demise.
The MCE for the Efutu Municipal Assembly, also in the Central Region, 69 year old Nii Ephraim, also passed on after a short illness in February this year.
