Nat'l Security operatives, police officer nabbed after robbing man of ATM cash

Two men said to be National Security operatives were on Saturday arrested at East Legon after robbing a man of GH¢5,650, money he had withdrawn from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). According to a situational report sighted by 3news.com, a police officer was also arrested in the robbery-gone-wrong. The report narrates that one Emmanuel David had withdrawn money from the adb Bank ATM at Ring Road Central Branch. But on his way home, a red Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 340-18 crossed him and he was forced into the car by the occupants. They drove him to East Airport and pushed him out of the car after taking the money from him. But Emmanuel David followed them, unknowingly, in a taxi and raised an alarm upon seeing a police vehicle. The vehicle, in which was COP Rev. David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin, trailed the Toyota Corolla and arrested the men. One managed to escape. A pistol was retrieved from Nathaniel Akomeah, the police officer.
