Nigerian singer Acebergtm disclosed that he revels in his versatility by producing good music for his fans.
Acebergtm revealed this in a tell-it-all with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz360 when he appeared as a guest on the show. Speaking on his style and the African identity in the global music market, he explained how originality is a major factor in positioning our music.
“I think it is the originality. The way we present ourselves, you would know this is Africa. When you listen to the music, when you watch the video, the symbol is everywhere. So I think that’s the unique part of African music.
“My style is unique. When they ask me my genre in music, I just tell them, it’s good music because I am all about trying out different things. To be versatile in what I can do.”
Aceberg spoke about his unofficial hiatus from the music scene and how the search for personal growth has impacted his music since his return.
He said, “Actually, I have been doing music for a long time, but professionally it’s just been like three years because I was studying in the university, computer science to be precise. In between, I was still doing the rap thing underground. You know, just trying to find a way for myself and work on my music.”
Acebergtm writes his songs with inspiration from his idol, Drake. He also listens to Ghanaian artists like Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, Efya and Gyakie.
According to Acebergtm, his single, Dancer, is his biggest because it’s the one people are into the most on his EP.
