Mahama congratulates Ivory Coast’s Ouattara
President John Dramani Mahama has sent hearty congratulations to President Allasane Dramane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire on his re-election victory.
“I congratulate President Ouattara on his resounding and emphatic victory,” President Mahama said.
“The sovereign people of La Cote d’Ivoire have voted for continuity.
“The strong bond of solidarity and economic cooperation we continue to enjoy as two neighbouring countries is linked to the peace and stability of the sub-region.”
President Mahama also sent a word of congratulations to the people “for a successful election.”
“I will continue to work closely with President Ouatarra.”
