Liberty's coach confident of beating the drop

Michael Osei was Kotoko’s head coach[/caption] Liberty Professionals coach Michael Osei is confident his side will beat the drop to remain in the Ghana Premier League. The Dansoman side have been poor by their own standards this season, winning only eight games out of 26, drawn eight, lost 10. This has been compounded by how awful they’ve been this season. Despite the poor performance from the club in the league, coach of the side Michael Osei senses they’re in a difficult position but is certain Liberty is not going down if they double their effort in the remaining fixtures. “[As for] fitness level, we are very good but tactically we have to be more disciplined especially in our games. According to the former Kotoko coach, Liberty Professionals are used to battling relegation every year but hopes the fortune of the club will change. “For the past five or six years, relegation has threatened Liberty a lot. “This year too when I was coming it was the same. It is not the time to point fingers or blame people [but] what we need to do is work very hard and make sure we stay in the league that’s my aim.” The Scientific Soccer Lads are sitting 14th on the league table following a 2-1 victory against Bechem United on Matchday 26. Their next game is against 5th place Medeama SC. By David Tei|TV3||Ghana ]]>
