Covid-19: Only four regions have cases but deaths rise

Ghana’s coronavirus deaths have risen by four, according to the Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

This has taken the death toll from 276 to 280.

Addressing journalists in Accra on Thursday, September 3, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said the active cases have dropped to 856, dropping from 904 from Wednesday, September 2.

“Our cumulative total so far comes to about 44,713 and our combined number 43,457 have recovered and we have so far recorded 280 deaths.”

He added that so far only the Eastern, Greater Accra, Bono East and Western regions have cases.

The remaining 12 regions are without any positive cases.
