The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced on Wednesday, August 19 that eight more persons have died after contracting Covid-19 This pushes the total number of deaths to 256, the GHS indicated. Also, the country recorded 110 new cases bringing the total number of cumulative cases to 43,094. The active cases currently stand at 1,875, according to data available on the Ghana Health Service’s website. About 40,963 individuals who earlier contracted the disease have recovered or been discharged.
