GPL Wk 12 review: Kotoko return to winning ways, Dreams FC beat WAFA to continue fine form

Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways when they beat Inter Allies 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors before the game had struggled in their last two games to record a win; against Aduana Stars and AshantiGold SC.

The first half produced no goal despite both teams opening up and creating decent goal-scoring chances.

Kotoko were awarded a penalty in the second half after Kwame Opoku was brought down. Naby Keita converted to score what became the only goal of the game.

Dreams FC continued their impressive form this year when they hosted WAFA at the Dawu Park.

The Still Believe lads scored three past the Academy Boys; all three goals came in the second half.

A goal from Sulemana Fahadu and a Ibrahim Issah’s brace won the day for Dreams FC.

Berekum Chelsea maintained their unbeaten run at home when they hosted Bechem United.

Chelsea were coming from a week where they bottled a 3-0 lead against King Faisal to lose 3:4.

Collins Ameyaw and Kofi Owusu combined to give Berekum Chelsea a comfortable 2-0 win over Bechem United.

At the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, AshantiGold couldn’t withstand the pressure of Ebusua Dwarfs as they beat them by 2-1.

Liberty Professionals vs Aduana Stars and Eleven Wonders vs Elmina Sharks all ended in a goalless draw.
