The Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority has offered a GHC50,000 bounty to anyone who provides the police with information that can lead to the arrest and conviction of person(s) who killed one of its workers, Mrs. Josephine Asante.
Mrs. Josephine Asante was the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Port of Tema when she was gruesomely murdered.
The Authority says it received news of her “horrific murder” in the early hours of Sunday January 13, 2019. The “shocking” event occurred at her Emefs Estate residence in Afienya, a suburb of Accra in the Greater Region.
“So far the Tema Regional Police Command is undertaking investigations into the horrendous killing of our colleague,” the Authority said in a statement on Friday that offered the bounty.
GPHA in the statement said it will make the necessary resources available to ensure that the perpetrator(s) of the heinous crime are apprehended and made to face the full rigours of the laws.
“Thus GPHA is committed to assisting and hastening the investigative processes of the Police by offering the above stated amount as a reward for any person(s) or group that will provide the first meaningful information to the Police which will lead to the arrest and conviction of the murderer(s) of Mrs. Josephine Asante.”
The statement is therefore urging the public to volunteer information to the Tema Region Criminal Investigations Department on the following lines: 0244942144 0244536056 0299-200147 or E-mail: tr.progpolice.gov.gh
