In a stunning display of creativity and artistic prowess, Selorm, hailing from the Volta region, emerged as the Star Performer and Best Costumed of the semi-final edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful. The theme of the night, ‘Justify Your Inclusion’, pushed the remaining seven contestants to showcase their worth for a coveted spot in the grand finale.

Selorm’s performance, which vividly re-enacted the Ewe migration and the significance of the Hogbetsotso festival, left a lasting impression on both judges and the audience. With an air of confidence, bravery, and a touch of deep emotions, Selorm narrated the hardships of the Ewes under the rule of King Agorkoli.

Her storytelling was not only compelling but also emotionally charged, drawing the audience into the heart of the narrative. Yet, Selorm’s talents extended beyond her storytelling. She mastered her appearance with an exquisite costume that perfectly complemented her performance.

Her headscarf, carefully chosen ornaments, and a rope tied around her waist adorned with various GTP fabrics added to the authenticity of her portrayal. Bentonite clay beautifully adorned her shoulders and legs, bringing the entire look to life.

Selorm’s exceptional presentation not only impressed the judges but also earned her the coveted titles of ‘Best Costumed’ and ‘Star Performer’. This remarkable feat made her the first contestant in 2023’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition to win two awards in a single night – an achievement which definitely made her region proud.

Competing fiercely for the ‘Best Costumed’ title were Nurah from the Northern region and Kwartemaa from the Bono region. As for the ‘Star Performer’ category, Selorm faced the same two contestants, whom she had outshone for the Best Costumed award.

Selorm’s remarkable achievements did not go unnoticed. Her outstanding appearance and total performance earned her rewards from Top Choco, Sankofa Natural Spices, and GTP for being the Best Costumed. In addition, she was awarded a Tecno Camon 20 series and Gino Tomatoes for her stellar performance as the Star Performer.

With the grand finale set to take place on October 8th at the National Theater, the competition promises to be both entertaining and fiercely competitive. The good news for viewers is that they hold a 60% share in determining the next GMB Queen.
