Fotocopy’s parents to blame for his use of hateful words on me – Kuami Eugene

Award-winning Highlife and Afrobeats singer, Kuami Eugene has said that the bad parenting skills of his junior colleague, Fotocopy’s dad/manager is to blame for his use of hateful words towards him.

Fotocopy,9, in a recent interview, disclosed that he had hatred for the Rockstar because he denied him a feature.

“Kuami Eugene, I don’t want to talk about it. In the whole industry, he is an artiste I hate. I hate him because of what he told me – it took me more than a week to eat. It took me more than a week for me to eat because he told me that my numbers were really small and he couldn’t feature me,” Fotocopy had disclosed.

Kuami Eugene reacting to the “School Dey Bee” hitmaker’s statement laid the blame squarely on the doorstep of the young boy’s parents who he believes influenced his utterances.

According to the former VGMA Artiste of the year winner, Fotocopy was a child and not matured enough to understand the gravity of the words he used at him.

Speaking on Joy Prime, Kuami Eugene said, “I think hate is too much of an intense word for a small boy to understand. To say that I hate someone. He’s too young to understand hate but that’s parenting. He’s not my issue because I think hate is too profound for a little boy like this to say,”

Adding that, “You can tell clearly that in the interview he was having, he was told backstage….and whoever hosted the show, did a very bad job because he was also told backstage that ask him this question and answer it this way, you can clearly, go and listen to this interview.”

Clearing the air on what exactly ensued between Kuami Eugene and Fotocopy, the “Wish Me Well” singer revealed he had been approached by the latter’s manager in an informal setting to collaborate with his artiste.

However, he advised Fotocopy’s manager to reach out to his management to do the needful which fell on deaf ears only to hear the nine-year-old hurl invectives at him on TV.

“Kuami Eugene is not just there to do features for everyone. It takes good conversations to have a feature. To meet Richie…I do know the father. Qwaachi, you’re my friend, let’s go together. I will follow you and talk to Richie and the whole team – I have a road manager, somebody that invests and whatever,” he reacted.

Kuami Eugene is currently on a media tour promoting his latest single, ‘Cryptocurrency’ with Hollywood Star, Rotimi
