The pathologist who conducted the postmortem on murdered Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency JB Danquah-Adu has told the Accra High Court that the report on the medical routine has been stolen.

Dr Lawrence Adusei told the Court on Monday, January 31 that thieves invaded his home and made away with some belongings including the computer on which the report on the postmortem was saved.

A fifth witness in the trial, Dr Adusei was being cross-examined as to how the postmortem was conducted in 2016, same year of the heinous act, but his report is dated February 2018.

He, however, noted that he conducted the operation with an autopsy assistant, a team from the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service and some others.

Quizzed by lawyer of the accused Yaw Dankwah on how he conducted the postmortem, Dr Adusei stated that he conducts quite a number in a day and, so, cannot recall how the body of the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP was examined.

But he confirmed that B Danquah-Adu died from severe loss of blood as a result of the multiple stab injuries on his neck and chest.

Presiding judge Justice Lydia Osei Marfo adjourned the case to Tuesday, Fberuary 1 for continuation.

JB Danquah-Adu was gruesomely murdered at his Shiashie home on February 9, 2016.
