Recycle Up! Ghana embarks on a Keep Kumasi Clean Venture at Asokore Mampong

On Saturday, August 26th, the community of Asokore Mampong witnessed a remarkable transformation as Recycle Up! Ghana teamed up with local organizations and volunteers for a clean-up exercise. 

The joint effort involved the Biakoye Fanclub, Unit Committee Members, the Assembly Man Honorable Oheneba Kofi Nti, the Environmental Protection Agency, and Zoom Lion Ghana, all of whom came together to address the litter and waste issues plaguing the area.

With a shared commitment to promoting a cleaner and healthier environment, participants armed themselves to tackle the litter head-on. The collaboration between various groups demonstrated an inspiring display of community spirit as they worked tirelessly to convert the landscape into a greener and more appealing space.

Assembly Man Honorable Oheneba Kofi Nti’s presence at the event was significant, as he emphasized the importance of collective action in maintaining a sustainable living environment. “By working together, we are not only cleaning up our community but also setting an example for others to follow,” he remarked.

The involvement of Zoom Lion Ghana played a pivotal role in ensuring logistical support which facilitated the efficient disposal of collected waste.

The local community and the committee members as well as the Biakoye Fanclub, played a vital role in mobilizing volunteers and raising awareness about the event.

The exercise further saw mass education which spotlighted the significance of recycling in fostering a more environmentally conscious Kumasi. The collaborative endeavour of Recycle Up! Ghana, the Biakoye Fan club, Unit Committee Members, Assembly Man Honorable Oheneba Kofi Nti, the Environmental Protection Agency, and Zoom Lion Ghana stands as a shining testament to the power of community unity for a shared cause.
