Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science & Maths Quiz, have announced a rescheduling of the final of the 2023 edition.
The event, which will mark the ultimate contest of the 30th anniversary edition, was originally meant to come off on Tuesday, October 24 at the National Theatre in Accra.
But the organisers say in line with tradition and in memory of the late Ga Manye, Naa Dedei Omaedru III, it has been postponed.
“The new date for the Grand Finale is 31st October, 2023,at the National Theatre,” a statement issued on Thursday, October 19 said.
Already, a Greater Accra Region Senior High School – Achimota School – will be in the final. They beat Wesley Girls’ SHS and St Louis SHS in the first semi-final on Thursday to book a place in the final.
Opoku Ware School, from the Ashanti Region, has also booked a place with high expectations that record champions Presbyterian Boys’ School will also join. The Presecans face Mfantsipim and Keta Sec Tech in the final semi-final encounter.
The organisers expressed condolences to the Ga Mantse, the chiefs and people of the entire Ga state “during the period of mourning”.
