Ex-CPP Chairman inducted into U/W Reg’l House of Chiefs

Former Chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle has finally been gazetted and, consequently, inducted into the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs as the Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area.

With skin name Naa Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle, Chiir VIII, the renowned medical practitioner has now satisfied all procedures and practices to be a member of the House in accordance with the Chieftaincy Act.

The induction ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 19 in Wa.

Prof Delle was nominated and enskinned by the the elders of Gbullu Chiir Royal Family of Nandom as their paramount chief on April 11, 2019.

Led by Alhaji Issifu Botug Benni, the Family sent the dermatologist into confinement to go through the necessary processes.

On Friday, March 25, the National House of Chiefs gazetted him as mandated by law as the new Substantive Paramount Chief of the Nandom Traditional Area. 

He replaced the late Naa Dr. Puoure Puobe Chiir VII, who was known in private life as Dr. Charles Imoru Puoure Puobe.

Until the Family’s call on Naa Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle, Chiir VIII, he was the National Chairman of the CPP, Founder and Owner of Rabito Clinic with over 20 branches nationwide, an astute entrepreneur of all time, investor, philanthropist, lecturer and a statesman with over 45 years in practice.
