CorpNation Foundation launches Community Hype 2022 edition

    The CorpNation Foundation has launched its 2022 edition of their annual event dubbed Community Hype.

    The launch, which was on the theme ‘Collectively projecting the good and addressing the challenges in our community’, seeks to discuss opportunities for the youth and community development.

    CorpNation Foundation’s focus is to identify the many opportunities in hampered communities and collaborate with corporate or interested entities to harness them for community or national progress.

    Its projects and programmes are in line with five out of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are End poverty in all Its forms, Good health & well-being, Decent work and economic growth, Sustainable cities and communities, Taking urgent action to combat climate change and Partnership to address the Goal.

    The maiden edition of Community Hype was held in 2021. It gathered hundreds of youth from more than 15 communities in Sekondi-Takoradi for an entrepreneurship seminar, identified the missing qualities that make them unemployable and partnered with Duapa Werkspace to train these youth in various in-demand courses for free of which some are now gainfully employed with others venturing into entrepreneurship.

    The Community Hype also gave Assembly members from various electoral areas within the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis the opportunity to plug problems in their communities to attract investors or support from the rest of the world.

    Giving his key note address, CEO for CorpNation Foundation Saviour Adzika said: “What we are witnessing here is an annual event and that is to say that we should expect that we gather each year and ascertain the progress of what the project has been for us to be able to know how well we are doing and how we can improve.”

    He added that “many of you know CorpNation to be a sanitation-oriented foundation but you will be surprised about what the foundation is yet embark on”.

    Chairperson Nana Kobina Nketsia V, the Paramount Chief of Essikado Traditional Area, eulogized CorpNation Foundation for their initiative.

    “Without corporation and communality we will never get anywhere. The only way we can get on on earth is through corporation and this is exactly what CorpNation Foundation is doing and needs to be commended.”

    Other traditional leaders present threw their support and expressed their willingness to assist in any form needed.

    The 2022 edition seeks to draw the attention of individuals and organizations across the globe to the countless opportunities in these communities as well as to throw more light on the challenges derailing the communities.

    The launch, which was held at the Best Western Atlantic Hotel,saw in attendance, Assembly members, Traditional leaders, opinion leaders, development advocates, youth, private and state owned organizations.
