Fabulous photos from Nana Akufo-Addo’s inauguration
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was duly sworn in as the President of the Republic of Ghana at the Black Star Square, Accra on Saturday, January 7.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was also sworn in.
Thousands of Ghanaians trooped to the venue to cheer and chant victory songs in support of the new leaders.
Heads of state from several countries including Togo, Gabon, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Benin, Nigeria and Guinea were at the venue to grace the occasion.
Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara was the Special Guest of Honour.
The ceremony was held in front of Members of Ghana’s Seventh Parliament and several others including former heads of state.
