Elmina Sharks record Covid-19 cases

Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks have confirmed that some of their players have tested positive for Covid-19 and have since been isolated.

The Elmina based outfit becomes the second Premier League club to record a case after Accra Hearts Oak.

“We can confirm that some of our players have tested positive for COVID 19.

“They have since been isolated & responding to treatment.

“We wish them well & look forward to them joining us stronger” they tweeted.

Elmina Sharks will play their season opener in a regional derby against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The Ghana Football Association cancelled Hearts of Oak’s season opener against Aduana Stars due to Covid-19 related issues from the camp of the Phobians.
