Covid-19: Ghana’s active cases drop below 1,000-mark

Ghana’s active cases on coronavirus have dropped below 1,000 for the first time in several months since the outbreak of the deadly disease in the country in March.
With the latest release by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Thursday, September 3, the case count puts the active cases at 904.
This is up to Monday, August 31, 2020, according to the release.
The drop in active cases follows about 43,478 patients recovering or getting discharged in some cases.
There are no additional deaths as the figure remains 276.
But from the active case, six are in critical conditions with three of them surviving on ventilators while 16 are in severe conditions.
About 41 new cases were recorded, according to the release, pushing the total cumulative cases to 44,658.
