Court grants 8 Delta Force ‘rescuers’ bail

A high court in Kumasi has granted bail to the 8 members of the Delta Force who aided 13 of their members to escape lawful custody. Lawyers for the accused filed a bail application at the high court after a Kumasi circuit court remanded them when they first appeared before it. The court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri ruled that the accused must comply with the bail conditions. The conditions include, GHC 10,000 each with two sureties who should be resident in Kumasi. They have also been asked to submit themselves on Wednesday before 3pm. The 8 accused persons who have been charged with causing disturbances to court, resisting arrest, and rescuing persons in lawful custody will reappear to the circuit court on Tuesday 18th April.
