Christian Council to organize fasting and prayer session for peaceful elections

The Christian Council of Ghana is organising a week-long non-denominational prayer and fasting programme to appeal to the almighty God for a peaceful elections this year.

In a press statement, the leaders of the Christian Ecumenical Bodies in Ghana said they deem it a responsibility to mobilize Christians for prayer and sensitize them to work towards peaceful elections in the country.

“The national week of fasting and prayer is scheduled to take place from Wednesday November 25, 2020 to Sunday November 29, 2020 in churches across the country.”

The theme for the occasion is “Seek peace and pursue it”

The Ecumenical body said it invites all Christians in Accra to gather at the Perez Dome for the peace rally.

“Christians in the other regions will gather at the church auditorium in their respective regions to do same.”
