CAF CL: Kotoko fail to make to group stage

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have failed to make it to the group stage of the 2020-2021 CAF Champions League after CAF released qualified teams.

The Porcupine Warriors after losing the first leg of their game against Al Hilal at the Accra Sports Stadium, saw their second leg at Sudan called off after they failed to raise the required number of players for the match due to Covid-19.

As the fans of Kotoko awaits the outcome of the verdict, Al Hilal have been added to the qualified teams for the Africa elite club competition. Kotoko will now drop to the CAF Confederation Cup to compete for a slot in the group stage. Hilal are in pot 3 alongside Petro Atletico, Simba SC and MC Alger. The draw will be held on Friday, January 8 at Cairo, Egypt. By Francis Hema|editors.3news.com|Ghana
