Loud mouth local boxer, Braimah Kamoko, aka Bukom Banku, has stated emphatically that he is willing to return the favour of Bastie Samir to fight him in a rematch after their ‘Make or Break’ bout on October 21.
Bastie had said after Saturday’s bout that he was willing to accept a rematch if Banku proposed one.
The talkative Banku was handed a seventh round knockout in front of huge crowd at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday night.
It was a moment of truth as Bukom Banku sat on the stool in the red corner with a deep cut on the right eye brow.
Younger Bastie also known as “The Beast” proved he was up for the task as he stood tall and firm even in the face of intimidations from Bukom Banku.
Banku threw in his all in a bid to fulfil his pre-match mantra of stopping his opponent in round six, but failed to even record a knockdown.
Bastie Samir ended the undefeated record of Bukom Banku to improve his own record to 16 wins, 1 draw and 15 knockouts.
Speaking for the time after his defeat on TV3’s Newday, Banku says he accept the challenge to fight Samir in a rematch on the 6th of March, 2018 and advised him to train.
“I have accepted I lost the fight. Bastie is a good fighter and he beat me fair and square. I have seen my mistakes and I want to fight him again on the 6th of March.
“I am not feeling bad that I lost because all the great fighters have lost before even Azumah Nelson. So I am going to correct my mistakes and come back,” he said.
His record is now 30 fights 29 wins 1 defeat, and he is still bragging that he is not the first person to lose a contest. He promised to come back better prepared and make a sweet revenge to make his fans happy.
