B. Chelsea pip AshGold to maintain unbeaten run
A goalkeeping howler by Ashanti Gold SC gave Berekum Chelsea the vital 3 points at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the Ghana Premier League. The game was the first of many in Matchday 5 of the 2019/20 season and the two unbeaten sides were poised to match each other. After a goalless first half, the two sides came back from the break determined to break the deadlock. After just eight minutes of play, Kofi Owusu, whose goal in the Ashanti Region the last time caused problems for Asante Kotoko, took advantage of the goalkeeping error by Frank Boateng to bury the ball in the net. The goal sends the Blues to the top of the log. They are yet to concede, having played former champions Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and now AshGold. They remain one of the two unbeaten sides so far in the League. The other side, Medeama SC, travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC on Sunday. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
