Andre Ayew and Qatari champions Al Sadd have agreed to part ways after a year and a half.
The Ghana captain joined Al Sadd as a free agent in 2021 after leaving English side Swansea City.
The 33-year-old signed a two-year contract that was set to expire in June of this year, but according to Al Sadd, an agreement has been reached for the contract to be terminated.
“Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent,” the club said.

Ayew scored 22 goals in 38 games for Al Sadd, winning the Qatar Stars League and the Emir Cup in his debut season.
He has been linked with a return to Europe, with boyhood club Marseille reportedly interested.
