Asamoah Gyan completes move to Indian club NorthEast United

General Captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan has completed a transfer to Indian Super League side, NorthEast United FC. The length of the deal is undisclosed, but the 33-year-old striker is hoping to make the best of the opportunities in his new home in New Delhi. Gyan left Kayserispor at the end of last season, having spent only one season in the Turkish top flight. He expressed his delight at the new adventure that awaits him in the Asian country. “I am extremely excited to start this new chapter in my career. I have heard great things about NorthEast United FC and the Indian Super League and I am thrilled to be a part of it for the upcoming season. “I am confident that we can better the wonderful season the club had last year,” Gyan said in an interview following his transfer. NorthEast United is the Ghana international’s eighth club outside the West African country after enjoying stints with Rennes, Sunderland, Udinese, Al Ain, and Kayserispor, among others. He is BlackStars’ highest scorer ever with 51 goals and also Africa’s leading scorer at the World Cup with six goals. By Thierry Nyann||Ghana]]>
