Anas is suspect in Tiger Eye PI partner’s killing – Ken Agyapong

MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong [R] wants Anas Aremeyaw Anas [L] investigated in the death of his journalism partner
Firebrand politician Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has fingered ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his lawyer, Kissi Adjabeng, in the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of the Tiger Eye Pi team. Ahmed was shot dead on Wednesday while returning home. Reports say he was killed in a drive-by shooting just a few meters away from his Madina home. He was one of the members of the Tiger Eye PI team whose mugshot was shown on national television by Mr Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency.
The mugshot shown on Net 2 TV
Anas Aremeyaw Anas took to his official Twitter page on Thursday and posted the excerpt of the lawmaker’s documentary Who Watches The Watchman?. https://twitter.com/anasglobal/status/1085744814619086849 But speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM on Thursday, the owner of Net 2 Television said the temerity with which Anas Aremeyaw Anas went to press with the excerpted portion of his documentary is of high suspicion. According to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker, the move is to divert attention from the award-winning journalist and his lawyer to him, Ken Agyapoong. Speaking in vernacular, Ken Agyapong said even the driver of Anas is part of the plot, which resulted in the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale. Mr Adjabeng had called on the police to question the maverick politician, stopping shot of implicating him for the crime.

But Mr Agyapong insists that by their action, the two men know about the death. He said they premeditated the whole incident given the time he had made the pronouncement, months earlier, “so the whole attention is on Kennnedy Agyapong”. He stated, however, that he will be ever ready to assist the police in investigations though he would be travelling out of the country for a personal assignment. He said he will allow himself to be arrested if the police contact him in investigations when he returns. The NPP MP said he does not regret showing the mugshot of the deceased because “they would have continued to do worse things and a lot of people would have died”. Already, Tiger Eye PI has expressed steadfastness in the face of the crime, saying it “shall not be silenced in our fight against corruption”. By Emmanuel Kwame Amoh|editors.3news.com|Ghana
