National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker for the people of North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, joined Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin to host members of the Wisconsin branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), the student wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This he said is an indication of maturity tolerance and mutual respect for one another in spite of the political differences that exists.

In a tweet, Mr Ablakwa who recently resigned from the Appointments Committee of Parliament said “Was delighted to join Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban Bagbin yesterday to host the NPP students wing (TESCON) of the Wisconsin Int. University.

“Quite a beautiful display of the maturity, tolerance and mutual respect that should characterize our politics & which should be emulated by all.”

The former Deputy Minister of Education also hosted other students from the Ho Technical University.

“It was a privilege to engage with a delegation of student leaders from the highly regarded Ho Technical University (formerly Ho Poly) in Parliament yesterday. I am really impressed by the creativity & impact of these young activists. They will always have my respect & support,” he said.
