West Hills Mall manager held for blocking China Mall

The Facility Manager of West Hills Mall, James Mensah, is in the grips of the Weija police after blocking the entrance of the China Mall with rocks.

A contractor, Samuel Annum Adjei, has also been arrested in connection with the act.

The two were found complicit in going to the China Mall at dawn Saturday, October 30 to tip off some rocks at the entrance of the China Mall, which is locate behind the West Hills Mall.

According to the Weija Divisional Police Command, a security man at the China Mall placed a distress call to the Command that there was a truck at the entrance dumping off rocks.

The police immediately moved to the scene, where indeed some rocks had blocked the entrance of the almost-completed mall.

The two suspects were said to have taken to their heels when they saw the police.

But they were given a hot chase and arrested.

“The two suspects have admitted to the offence and have been cautioned,” the police said, adding that they are assisting with investigations.

Meanwhile, the rocks have been removed.
