Ten young entrepreneurs have received GH¢250,000 for emerging winners of the Richard Quaye Foundation Free Seed Capital Pitch Competition.

The initiative is to resource young entrepreneurs with start-up capital to grow their ideas into a business venture.

The journey started when the founder and board chairman of Quick Credit and Investment Micro-credit Limited and Founder, CEO of Quick Angels Limited, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, rolled out a contest for young people with business ideas in need of seed capital to send in application.

Ten lucky winners were selected out of 1,000 applications received for the competition.

This was an initiative towards the founder’s upcoming birthday as well as impacting the lives of these entrepreneurs.

Presenting the cheque to the entrepreneurs, Mr. Armah Quaye reiterated the need for the young business starters to adopt financial discipline in helping to grow their start-ups.

He urged the entrepreneurs to be different in their day-to-day operations of their business while focusing on taking bold decisions that will help transform their venture.

The entrepreneurs who emerged winners were individuals who have already nurtured their ideas into start-ups while some on the verge of starting received a seed capital of GH¢25,000.

The recipients of the seed capital were overwhelmed and expressed commitment to investing the money to grow their venture.

The young entrepreneurs will be mentored and monitored within six months.

After achieving success, Quick Credit Investment Micro-credit Limited will invest full into these businesses.
