Ghana international Mohammed Kudus expressed his awe and excitement over his breathtaking goal against Arsenal following a scintillating performance that propelled West Ham to the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

The gifted midfielder was named the Man of the Match, and his stellar performance, crowned by a remarkable strike, once again solidified his status as a standout talent.

Kudus’s unforgettable moment came in the 50th minute, when he exhibited his exceptional skill with two exquisite touches to extend West Ham’s lead. This extraordinary effort followed an own goal that had already given West Ham the advantage. Jarrod Bowen later sealed the victory with West Ham’s third goal, while Arsenal managed a consolation goal, courtesy of Martin Odegaard, deep into stoppage time.

As Kudus relived the magic of his goal after the match, he appeared humbled by the sheer brilliance of his finish. He shared his perspective on the goal, saying, “Wow, what a finish. I think it was a beautiful ball from Nayef Aguerd, so I just had to take the touch inside because there was no space outside.”

Kudus continued to describe his thought process, revealing, “I also saw the goalkeeper on the other side. When I come inside then it’s [putting the ball in the] far corner. Boom. And then it was a goal.”

This stunning goal marked Kudus’s fourth since his transfer from Ajax to West Ham during the summer, a move that involved over 40 million euros. The midfielder’s influence on the team has been steadily growing, making it increasingly evident that he is a pivotal asset for the Hammers.
