Isaac Dogboe was left angry after he was defeated by Robeisy Ramirez in their WBO featherweight title bout at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

The Ghanaian boxer, who was hoping to become just the third fighter from his country to win world titles in two divisions, was furious with the judges’ unanimous decision to award the fight to Ramirez.

“I feel like I was robbed, plain and simple. The result is bullshit,” Dogboe said after the fight. “That knockdown was no knockdown. You talk about dictatorship, that was a dictatorship result right there.”

Despite Ramirez being awarded the victory with scores of 117-110, 118-109, and 119-108, Dogboe was adamant that he deserved to win and called for a rematch. “Let’s run it back, that’s all I can say. If he is a true champion, let’s run it back for Cuba and for the rest of the people he claims to represent,” Dogboe said.

Ramirez celebrates his win

The defeat was a bitter blow for Dogboe, who was hoping to continue his decent run of form after back-to-back losses to Mexican Emanuel Navarrete.

However, he remained positive and thanked God for the opportunity to fight again. “All I have to say is, God is still king, praise be to the Lord Almighty. I thank God for this opportunity once again,” he said.
