Madagascar’s fairy tale in their debut Africa Cup of Nations came to an end on Thursday, July 11 after they went 0-3 down to Tunisia in the final quarter-final match. Goals from Zamalek’s Ferjani Sassi, skipper Youssef Msakni and Dijon’s Naim Sliti sealed a rather comfortable win for the 2004 champions. The Malagasy were yet to lose a match going into the game at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt. Their opponents, on the other hand, were yet to win a match in full regulation time, having drawn all their games prior to reaching the last 8. But this relatively poor run of form may have spurred the North Africans on to put three past the debutants, the highest score at the quarter-final stage. The result completes the semi-final fixtures on Sunday. Tunisia will come face-to-face with Senegal at the 30 June Stadium while Algeria will meet Nigeria in the other semi-final game at the Cairo International Stadium. Source: 3news.com|Ghana  ]]>
