Atletico Madrid have won La Lga following a 2-1 comeback victory against Real Valladolid on Saturday with striker Luis Suarez scoring the winning goal.
Suarez capitalised on a poor back pass and finished calmly 10 minutes after Angel Correa had drawn Atletico Madrid level with a superb strike in the 57th minute.
Atletico would have lost the league if they failed to beat Valladolid who took the lead in the first half courtesy of Oscar Plano’s strike.
Real Madrid scored twice late on to beat Villarreal 2-1 but came up short as they needed Atletico to drop points.
Atletico clinched their first title in seven years and their 11th overall.
