Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac says he expects to see Mohammed Kudus in Cameroon soon following reports that the midfielder has been cleared by Ajax to participate in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

“We are not sure about Kudus but we expect to see him soon, he is recovering and training so hopefully we see him soon,” Rajevac told reporters on Thursday ahead of Ghana’s second match.

Kudus was expected to arrive on Wednesday and be ready for the crucial match against Gabon on Friday evening, but the youngster is still in the Netherlands.

3news reported on Tuesday that the Ghana Football Association and Ajax have reached an agreement for the Dutch giants to release Kudus.

Ajax are happy to allow Kudus join the Ghana squad after assessing him for a while following a rib injury.

Apart from Kudus, Rajevac has no injury issues heading into the match which Ghana need a win to stand a chance to qualify to the round 16th stage of the competition.
