The Ghana Football Association have named a new technical team for the Ghana U-20 national team, the Black Satellites with Desmond Offei taking over from Samuel Boadu.

Offei who previously assisted Boadu will work alongside former Ghanaian footballer Nii Odartey Lamptey and Heart of Lions coach Salifu Fatawu.

With his track record of nurturing talents, Odartey Lamptey is expected to have a massive impact on the technical team as they aim to bounce back from their previous setbacks including their exit in the WAFU Cup in Ivory Coast earlier this year.

The team failed to record a single win from all three matches as they drrew 1-1 with Niger and Ivory Coast while losing to Burkina Faso.

Having won the FIFA Best player of the 1991 U-17 World Cup after leading Ghana to win the trophy, Odartey Lamptey would combine his experience from playing youth football with his tactical prowess from the grassroots level to help revive the team.

Desmond Offei, the coach has also ganered extensive experience in coaching and scouting in Africa and Europe.

Meanwhile Samuel Boadu will now assist Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as coach for the Black Galaxies.
