Black Queens maintained their dominance over their Rwandan counterparts as they secured a 5-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium to advance to the next stage of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A first-half hattrick from Alice Kusi and good strikes from Evelyn Badu and Stella Nyamekye propelled the Black Queens to a 12-0 aggregate win having already crushed the She-Amavubi 7-0 in Kigali last week.

Nora Hauptle’s side delivered a commanding performance right from the blast of the whistle to the end as Alice Kusi opened the scoring with a spectacular strike in the 22nd minute which left the Rwandan goalkeeper clueless.

Kusi added the second goal four minutes later by heading home a great cross from the right flank before completing her hattrick with a final touch of great teamwork in the 37th minute.

Evelyn Badu who scored twice in the first leg added her name to the scoresheet after dummying the goalkeeper to place the ball at the back in the 41st minute.

After several attempts in the second half, Stella Nyamekye scored the final goal of the game to redeem herself after getting an initial attempt ruled offside.

Ghana will now face Namibia in the next round of the qualifiers as they aim to make a return to the WAFCON after missing out in 2022.

The result now means the team remain undefeated under Nora Hauptle after seven matches scoring 26 goals and conceding none.
