Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Nettey was left disappointed following their 1-1 draw against Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.

Olympics ended Heart’s four-game winning streak in the ‘Mantse Derby’ on match week 28.

Sunday’s result erased the two-point lead over Asante Kotoko who had beaten Ashantigold 1-0 in an early kickoff.

The Phobians still sit top of the league with a better goal difference than Kotoko on 50 points but Emmanuel Nettey expressed his side’s regret for not taking all three points.

“We had one point. We are going back to the drawing board to work on our mistakes. If you look at the chances we had, if we had buried all, I don’t think we would have been here with just a point. I feel very disappointed we came back with just one point but I think the league is not yet over for us,” Nettey said in a post-match conference.

Hearts of Oak host Medeama in their next Ghana Premier League game at the Accra Sports Stadium. Nettey has however assured the club faithful of better results in subsequent matches.

“We are going to fight for the rest of the matches. We are going to take it match after match and hopefully we can annex the trophy at the end of the season,” he added.

Nettey who scored the opener from long range saw Maxwell Abbey Quaye equalize for the city rivals who sit fourth on the log.
