Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has said leading a national team in Ghana as a head coach is an enormous task because of people’s expectations.
According to the 47-year-old trainer, it is always difficult to lead a national team in Ghana as compared to europe because every Ghanaian wants to have a say about the team.
“The pressure here in Ghana as a national coach is enormous. It’s not at all comparable to Europe. Here, everyone wants to have a say, to have a say and knows everything better. If you lose once, you’re immediately the fool,” he said in an interview with DW.
Akonnor was appointed head coach of the black early last year.
Ghana will play South Africa next in the ongoing 2021 AFCON Qualifiers.
