According to British channel Sky Sports, English Premier League club Southampton have signed Mohammed Salisu on a four-year deal.

The Saints triggered the buy-out clause of the talented defender and bought him for £10.9m from Real Valladolid.

The report from Sky Sports states that he will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period when he arrives in the UK from Spain because of the coronavirus curbs.

The young talent has been linked to Southampton for months and it looks like the Saints have finally got their man.

The 21-year-old joined the Real Valladolid team in 2017 and has been superb for the Spanish club.

He occupied the third position in the most clearances made by a defender in the 2019/20 season.

However, he is yet to don the Black Stars jersey.
