Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is enjoying a remarkable debut season in the Premier League with West Ham United.

His latest exploits saw him score a brilliant goal in West Ham’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Kudus took advantage of a blunder by young English-Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. He took the ball, passed it to Lucas Paquetá, and then received it back. Despite having two defenders in front of him, Kudus managed to find the bottom corner.

It was another assist from the Brazilian to the Ghanaian after the two combined brilliantly last weekend when Paquetá assisted both of Kudus’ two goals in the 3-0 win over Wolves.

The goal was Kudus’ sixth in the Premier League and his 10th in all competitions since joining the club in August.

The 23-year-old’s form has been nothing short of sensational, establishing himself as a key player for West Ham. With only three goals behind the club’s top scorer Jarrod Bowen, who was also on target in Saturday’s match, Kudus is certainly making a name for himself in the Premier League.

But it’s not just West Ham who are benefitting from Kudus’ form – Ghana are also reaping the rewards. With the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations fast approaching, Kudus’ performances are a timely boost for the Black Stars. If he can maintain this level of form, Ghana will feel confident heading into the tournament, which takes place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

While West Ham may worry about losing one of their most important players for at least a month, Ghanaians are thrilled to see Kudus thriving. His form could play a crucial role in Ghana’s quest to end their long trophy drought, making him an integral part of the Black Stars’ plans.

As the tournament draws closer, all eyes will be on Kudus to see if he can continue his impressive run of form. But for now, Ghanaians can revel in the fact that they have a genuine star in their ranks, one who could make all the difference in their pursuit of glory.
