President and owner of Medeama SC, Moses Armah ‘Parker’ says they are hoping to secure funds to complete the Tarkwa Na Aboso (TNA) Stadium before the new season begins.

There has been a significant improvement in the construction of the modern 10,000-seater covered stadium which began a few years ago in the club’s quest to own a standard venue for both local and international matches.

Following the team’s Ghana Premier League triumph on Sunday, instant preparations have commenced with the club aiming to have the venue ready for the following season.

According to Moses Armah, the club is hoping to get more funds from sponsorship as well as grants from lovers of the club to expedite the project ahead of the new season which will see them compete in the CAF Champions League.

Having adopted Akoon Park in recent times for their home matches, they would have to now find a venue that meets the CAF Licensing board which is why they are desperate in completing the TNA Stadium.

However, they would have to settle for the Cape Coast Stadium if their goal of completing the stadium is not achieved on time.

“We will represent Ghana in Africa. We are determined to break the jinx and that is our plan. We are yet to make a decision on where will play our games. We have spoken to GoldFields Ghana Limited to help complete the stadium,” he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

“The entire community is ready to support to completion of the stadium but if we are not able to complete it, then our next option will be at the Cape Coast Stadium but the people at Tarkwa want us to play the game there.

“GoldFields have already spent a lot of money on the club and but they are determined to help us complete the stadium on time,” he added.
